In 1986, she won 3 of the 4 LPGA majors. Her career is still going
strong, and she has played during the time while the LPGA
competition is tougher. |
| Anyway, according to todays L.A. Times, as some of the other posters
said, Annika has tied the official LPGA record at four. The others
with four consecutive wins are: Kathy Whitworth (1969), and Mickey
Wright, who accomplished it TWICE, once in 1962 and again in 1963. |

top 100 money leaders, as well as Hall of Famers and former champions
Betsy King (1985), Pat Bradley (1990) and Patty Sheehan (1993), who
holds the record for the best winning score in this tournament and is
the only member of that Hall-of-Fame trio among the top 50 money winners
this season with $50,370, good for 13th. |
